Waveland Oct 12-- Henry PARRISH passed away on Tuesday night at 9:30 o'clock following a parletic stroke which he suffered on Monday. Mr. Parrish had been in ill health for several years but his condition was not considered serious and his death comes as quite a shock to the community. He was born Oct 23, 1850 in Owen County, Indiana and was first married to Miss Laura Mundy. Three children were born to this union. Several years after her death, Mr. Parrish was married to Nancy Miller, who passed away 8 years ago. The deceased is survived by three children, Mrs. Bert Davis of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Anna Wildman of Mattoon, Illinois and John Parrish of Waveland at whose home he died. 14 grandchildren,1 5 greats and four brothers, George of Brazil; John of Center Point; Samuel of Decatur, Ill and Asbury of New Albany survives. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Church with Rev. JF Beisel the pastor in charge with interment in Maple Ridge Cemetery. - transcribed by kbz

Henry Parrish suffered an apoplectic seizure about 9 on Monday morning and died at the same hour on Tuesday evening. Funeral services at the Methodist Church on Thursday afternoon were conducted by Rev F.J. Beisel. Burial in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Henry Parrish was born in Owen County, Aug 23, 1850; departed this life Oct 11 at 8:45 p.m. at the home of his son, John. He was twice married, first to Laura Mundy. To this union three daughters were born, two preceding him in death, one in infancy and one, Mrs. Jim Grimes in 1906; Mrs. Bert Davis of Crawfordsville surviving. In 1881 he was united in matrimony to Nancy J. Miller who preceded him in death 8 years ago. Surviving are two children: Mrs. Anna Wildman of Mattoon, Ill and John Parrish. 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and four brothers, George of Brazil, Asbury of New Albany, John of Centerpoint and Sam of Decatur Ill also survive. - transcribed by kbz
